Hand at Home is a community-based organization in Compton, California. We provide medical respite, housing navigation, case management, and care coordination for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their housing.

We primarily serve adults who:

• Are experiencing homelessness, or
• Are staying in shelters, cars, or temporarily with friends or family, or
• Are at immediate risk of losing their housing

At this time, we do not serve families.

If you are not sure whether you qualify, please contact us. If we are not the right program, we will try to connect you with another resource.

We offer four main types of services:

Medical respite
Short-term, safe places for people experiencing homelessness to recover after a hospital stay or while managing a health condition.

Housing navigation
Help finding and applying for shelter and housing programs, completing paperwork, and connecting with local housing resources.

Case management
One-on-one support to set goals, complete applications, get IDs and documents, access benefits, and navigate complex systems.

Care coordination
Support to connect to medical, mental health, and substance use services, and to coordinate care between different providers.
